Is your district looking to transition your school bus fleet to electric?
The Electric School Bus Accelerator is a hands-on, cohort-based program that equips school districts with the knowledge, tools, and connections to electrify their fleets.
Whether you're just starting out or are further along in the process, the Accelerator helps districts save time and enjoy a smoother transition to electric fleets. Successful graduates of this program will be better equipped to handle the challenges of transitioning their fleet, maximize the potential benefits of improved student and driver health, reduce fueling costs, and leverage existing funding opportunities.
The Electric School Bus Accelerator is put on by the Breaking Barriers Collaborative, the WSU Green Transportation Program, and the Electrification Coalition; and funded by a grant from the Washington State Department of Ecology. It is a customized version of the highly successful Fleet Decarbonization Accelerators that more than 65 organizations in the Pacific Northwest have been through, representing over 25,000 vehicles.
This eight-week program will run from April 2nd to May 21st, holding weekly one-hour sessions over Zoom on Wednesdays. Any school district in Washington State is welcome to apply, but enrollment is limited to 12 school districts. Up to four participants per school district can attend, and there is no cost to participate.
Want to see if the Accelerator is the right fit for your district? Join an upcoming informational webinar on February 25th, or reach out to Brad James at jamesb@energy.wsu.edu or Emily Pinckney at emily.pinckney@climatesolutions.org.
